Blackhaw Viburnums in Bloom

For the past two weeks my woods have been aglow with the bright white flowers of the blackhaw viburnum. (Viburnum prunifolium) blackhaw at the woods edge blackhaws in bloom in the understory red admiral butterfly nectaring in blackhaw flowers This shrub or small tree tolerates shade well, it thrives under the canopy of larger trees and at the forest edge.
